24-year Supervisor of Elections (retired): “We Need Holly Davis”
Being a county commissioner is a difficult job, especially in a growing county like Citrus County. Commissioners are policy makers and their decisions make some people happy, but seldom make everybody happy. The commission’s job is to make the best possible policies and decisions with the information available at time.
Holly Davis has served for four years and is the chair of the commission this year. She has served us well and works hard for the citizens of the county. Most recently she has been everywhere during the crisis of Hurricane Helene helping in any way she could virtually every waking hour of her day. Holly has communicated effectively through Facebook, Spectrum Channel 9 and any other outlet that would get information to the public, before, during and after the hurricane.
Holly is known for her work in strategic planning. She spearheaded the citizen-driven strategic planning process in the county. Our plan was recognized by the National Association of Counties (NACO). This is a pretty big deal. The progress of the projects in the works can be seen on the county website, www.citrusbocc.com
She is active in the the Florida Association of Counties (FAC) where she serves on the Board of Directors. The association is important in making connection, gaining knowledge and learning how other counties navigate the issues related to growth and development, as well as management of county business.
Holly puts her whole heart and head into the job of county commissioner. We need Holly. I encourage you to keep Holly Davis as our county commissioner and vote Holly in the general election.
