The “we” above is intentional. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.
It’s been just about three weeks since the election, and it’s been a whirlwind of financial requirements, sign removal, personal thank you notes (and public thank you letter), meetings with various county leaders and management to start the proverbial “drinking from a firehose” to prepare to hit the ground running. And possibly a few extra hours of sleep, and catchup canoodling with Casey, the true star of election night, with his happy emoji balloon that “stalked” me all night.
The swearing in is 1 pm November 17th, at the Citrus County Courthouse in Inverness, Florida. While the public is welcome, I’m guessing it’s going to be oversubscribed in person. However, it is broadcast here, if you are truly interested. I am hopeful that my dad will feel well enough to do the honors, and I’ve asked bonus mom Gudi Davis to be his wingman if he’s unable.
Bless all of you who swept me along on your wings – thank you. I’m energized and excited for the work that lies ahead!
