Candidates secure their spots on the ballot

Twenty-eight candidates assured their spot on the ballot Monday by officially qualifying.

Qualifying ends at noon Friday for county and state legislative offices. Qualifying for federal and judicial offices occurred in April.

Candidates without opposition are automatically elected to office.

Here is a list of Monday’s qualifiers. All candidates are Republican unless otherwise noted:

• Ralph Massullo, incumbent, state House of Representatives District 34.

• Angela Vick, incumbent clerk of the circuit court and comptroller.

• Lee Alexander, no-party affiliation, sheriff.

• Patrick Crippen, sheriff.

• Mel Eakley, sheriff.

• Cregg Dalton, property appraiser.

• David Gregory, property appraiser.

• Timothy Reynard, property appraiser.

• Richard “Rick” Schroeder, NPA, property appraiser.

• Rob Tessmer, property appraiser.

• Janice Warren, incumbent tax collector.

• Sandra “Sam” Himmel, incumbent, superintendent of schools.

• Paul John Reinhardt, superintendent of schools.

• Scott Adams, supervisor of elections.

• Maureen “Mo” Baird, supervisor of elections.

• Jeff Kinnard, incumbent, county commission District 1.

• Thomas Corkery, county commission District 3.

• Mark Hammer, county commission District 3.

• Luis Marin, county commission District 3.

• Ruthie Davis Schlabach, county commission District 3.

• Edwin Roberts, county commission District 3.

• Holly Davis, county commission District 5.

• Jimmie T. Smith, incumbent, county commission District 5.

• Ginger Bryant, incumbent, nonpartisan school board District 2.

• Mark Garlock, nonpartisan school board District 2.

• Theressa Foster West, nonpartisan Mosquito Control Board Seat 2.

• Timothy Langer, nonpartisan Mosquito Control Board Seat 2.

• Heidi Miller, nonpartisan Homosassa Special Water District Seat 1.

• Lora Sipos, incumbent, nonpartisan Homosassa Special Water District Seat 3.
